Linacre Private Hospital Procedure Room Upgrade (2021)

Australian Electrical Industries were proud to be involved in the design, implementation and delivery of new Procedure Room Upgrade at Linacre Private Hospital.

AEI were engaged by Baxter Projects (Builder) on behalf of Ramsey Health, to help facilitate the upgrade of the Hospitals existing Procedure Room by installing additional electrical services including new body protected power outlets and medical panels, LED Cyanosis lighting, Dali lighting controls, emergency lighting, communications, nurse call and switchboard modifications. As a part of this project, AEI were required to provide a compliant lighting design in accordance with BCA Part J6 and AS/NZ:1680 requirements.

In order to upgrade the electrical sub-mains for this Procedure Room distribution board, the existing site main switchboard was required to be shutdown (out of hours) so that works could be undertaken safely and the switchboard modified accordingly. This involved critical planning and risk mitigation due to the sensitive nature of the environment and was carefully coordinated with all parties prior to the shutdown period. On successful completion of the project, AEI was able to provide a fully certified installation in accordance with Patient Treatment Area standards (AS/NZ:3003) in an expediated timeframe and with the pressure of pending procedures building.
