Project Overview
This project involved the refurbishment and electrical fit-out of a new Cyberknife Clinic in Cremorne for the Integrated Clinical Oncology Network (ICON Group). Works were delivered between May and December 2024, covering all electrical scope to meet Icons requirements.
Supply & Installation
- Installation of new cable trays and supports
- Installation of electrical switchboards and sub-mains
- Installation of general power and patient treatment area outlets
- Installation of specialised medical imaging equipment
- Installation of LED lighting and automated lighting controls
- Installation of MATV, structured cabling (Fibre & Cat6A), and audio-visual systems
- Installation of nurse call, security, and access control systems
- Mechanical control wiring
- Testing and commissioning
Our Impact
This project strengthened AEI’s capability in complex medical installations. Key challenges included tenancy-wide power constraints, resolved through installation of a power analyser and load redistribution—avoiding the need for a full site upgrade. AEI also resolved interfacing issues with overseas-sourced medical imaging equipment by working directly with manufacturers and adjusting the installation to meet Australian standards.
