Project Overview
This project involved the construction of a new Cancer Imaging Clinic at The Bays Hospital in Mornington for the Bays Cancer Centre. Delivered between October 2024 and May 2025, the works supported installation of specialised medical imaging infrastructure within newly built, engineered procedure rooms.
Supply & Installation
- Installation of new cable trays and supports
- Installation of electrical switchboards and sub-mains
- Installation of general power and patient treatment area outlets
- Installation of CT and specialised medical imaging equipment
- Installation of treatment lighting and automated lighting controls
- Installation of MATV, structured cabling (Fibre & Cat6A), and audio-visual systems
- Installation of nurse call, security, and access control systems
- Mechanical control wiring
- Testing and commissioning
Our Impact
This project featured the delivery of new electrical infrastructure to support CT and X-Ray imaging equipment housed within custom-engineered bunker procedure rooms. AEI met urgent delivery timeframes to support patient care by executing works within a fast-tracked program. A key challenge included sourcing specialised components for a custom control panel switchboard for a new Siemens CT machine. AEI successfully delivered this through its established network of national suppliers under tight deadlines.
